Hi everyone. My name is Pedro.

If you look at this picture, you might think I’m just smiling.
But if you look a little closer…
you might see something else in my eyes.

That day was one of the hardest days of my life.
I’m only 11 years old.
Just weeks before, my biggest worries were games and homework.

Then everything changed.

Tests.
Hospital rooms.
And one word I had never heard before —
leukemia.

In this photo, my hair had already started to fall out from chemotherapy.
There’s a bandage on my neck.
And behind me… is my dad.

He’s always there.
Always strong.
Even when I know he’s scared too.

That sign I was holding?
It was our way of asking for prayers.
Our way of reaching out… when things felt too heavy.

But this… is my story.

Chemotherapy isn’t easy.
There are days I feel too weak to even sit up.
Days when I don’t feel like myself.

But in the middle of all this…
I found something stronger than fear.

Faith.

I know I’m sick.
But I also know… I’m going to get better 🙏

Every day here is one step closer.
One more day of fighting.
One more day of hope.

I don’t want you to feel sorry for me.
I just want you to know… I’m still fighting.
Still smiling.
Even if sometimes… there are tears too.

And all the love… the prayers… the kind thoughts —
I feel them.
