❤️🙏 Ryan Strong: 15-Year-Old South Texas Teen Continues Recovery After Life-Changing Medical Journey

Nearly two months ago, 15-year-old Ryan Rodriguez entered surgery hoping to put a hidden medical condition behind him and return to the life he loved.

Instead, he began a challenging recovery journey that has tested his strength, his family’s faith, and the support of an entire community.

Ryan’s story began nearly two years ago after what appeared to be a typical basketball injury. During a game, Ryan experienced a hard fall, and his mother brought him to the emergency room to make sure he had not suffered a serious injury.

What doctors discovered was something no one expected.

Deep inside Ryan’s brain was an arteriovenous malformation, known as an AVM — an unusual connection of blood vessels that required careful medical attention. After extensive planning, doctors believed they could safely remove the remaining portion of the condition and help protect Ryan’s future. 💙

But following his surgery on June 2, Ryan experienced serious complications involving brain swelling. Doctors acted quickly, performing additional procedures to help manage the situation.

Since then, Ryan has faced a long and difficult road, including multiple surgeries and medical treatments. His journey has required incredible patience, strength, and support from the people who love him most.

Recently, Ryan underwent another important procedure called a cranioplasty, which replaced the section of his skull that had been removed during his earlier treatment.

For his family, this surgery represents another meaningful step forward.

Ryan’s father, Rick, says they continue taking each day as it comes. While the future remains uncertain, the family refuses to give up hope.

Their dreams are simple but powerful — seeing Ryan open his eyes, recognize the people around him, smile again, communicate, and eventually return home. ❤️
