Thankfully, there is hope.

Carter has since been released from the hospital and is now recovering at home, surrounded by the love of his family. While his healing journey continues, his parents remain grateful that their son is still with them.

The driver who allegedly fled the scene has not yet been identified.

The Jeannette Police Department continues to investigate the hit-and-run and is asking anyone who witnessed the incident—or anyone with surveillance or dashcam footage from the area—to come forward.

For Carter’s family, healing isn’t only about physical recovery.
