What started as an ordinary afternoon in Lancaster, Pennsylvania quickly turned into a terrifying ordeal for five-year-old Jocelyn Rojas and her family. While playing in her front yard, Jocelyn was approached by a stranger who lured her into his car with the promise of ice cream. Within moments, she was gone.

Panic spread quickly through the neighborhood. Her family and neighbors rushed to search the area, while police were alerted and began their own investigation. Every passing minute felt critical, as the community feared the worst.

Amid the chaos, two 15-year-old boys—Temar Boggs and his friend—refused to stand by. Without hesitation, they jumped on their bikes and joined the search, determined to help find the missing girl.

About half a mile from Jocelyn’s home, they spotted a suspicious sedan. Looking closer, they saw Jocelyn inside. The driver noticed them and tried to speed away, but the teens didn’t give up. What followed was a tense 15-minute chase, with the boys pedaling as fast as they could, staying close behind the moving car despite the danger.

Their persistence paid off. At the end of a hill, the driver suddenly stopped and let Jocelyn go. The little girl ran straight toward Temar, frightened and crying, saying she just wanted her mother.

Relief washed over everyone as Jocelyn was finally safe. Her family, overwhelmed with gratitude, embraced the two teens and praised their bravery. Her grandmother, Tracey Clay, called Temar “our hero,” recognizing the courage and quick thinking that made all the difference.

Authorities continue to search for the suspect, described as a white male between 50 and 70 years old, driving a reddish-purple or maroon car with round taillights, wearing green shoes, green pants, and a red-and-white striped shirt, and walking with a limp.

Reflecting on the incident, Temar simply said, “I feel proud I could help today.” But to Jocelyn’s family and the entire community, his actions were far more than helpful—they were heroic.
