Twin Brother Accused of Killing Sister and 17-Month-Old Daughter in Oklahoma Shooting

A quiet Saturday morning in Poteau, Oklahoma, ended in unimaginable tragedy after authorities say a family dispute turned ᴅᴇᴀᴅly, leaving a young mother and her toddler daughter ᴅᴇᴀᴅ.

According to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), 31-year-old Grant Wilson has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of his twin sister, Gabrielle Wilson, and her 17-month-old daughter.

Investigators say emergency responders were initially dispatched after receiving what was reported as a medical emergency. However, when deputies and paramedics arrived at the home, they instead discovered a devastating crime scene.

Authorities found Gabrielle Wilson suffering from a fatal gunsH๏τ wound inside the residence. In another room, officers located her 17-month-old daughter, who had also sustained a fatal gunsH๏τ wound. Both were pronounced ᴅᴇᴀᴅ.

According to court documents, investigators recovered shell casings and other physical evidence throughout the home as they began processing the scene.

As the investigation unfolded, detectives learned that Grant Wilson and his sister had reportedly experienced previous conflicts. Family members told investigators there had been past arguments between the siblings.

Surveillance footage from a nearby home allegedly showed a gray Honda Accord arriving at Gabrielle’s residence around 9:00 a.m. Investigators say the vehicle remained at the home for only about four minutes before leaving, a timeline that quickly became central to the investigation.

Authorities issued an alert for the vehicle, and law enforcement later located the suspect following a pursuit. Grant Wilson was taken into custody and now faces two counts of first-degree murder.

The case has deeply affected the Poteau community, where many continue to struggle with the loss of a young mother and her child.

As the criminal case proceeds, the charges remain allegations, and Grant Wilson is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
