What the Data Actually Shows
A Science & Nature blog post from January 2025 claims that JWST detected 755 mysterious objects approaching the Solar System in the Kuiper Belt, ranging from 100 to 1,000 km in diameter, with chaotic orbits. However, this has not been corroborated by any scientific publication or official announcement
Multiple authoritative sources—including NASA, ESA, and reputable scientific publications—do not support nor mention any such finding. That strongly suggests the claim is unsubstantiated and likely speculative or misreported.
More credible JWST discoveries include 300 unusually bright early-galaxy candidates found by University of Missouri researchers, which may challenge models of early galaxy formation.
