Inspired by the classic Universal film that started a horror legacy, “The Wolfman” (2024) revisits the myth of a cursed man, returning to its iconic roots. This new adaptation stars Oscar® winner Benicio Del Toro as Lawrence Talbot, a tormented nobleman drawn back to his ancestral home following his brother’s mysterious disappearance. Reuniting with his estranged father, played by Oscar® winner Anthony Hopkins, Talbot embarks on a search for his brother, only to uncover a terrifying fate for himself.
Lawrence Talbot’s life was forever altered the night his mother died. Leaving the quaint Victorian village of Blackmoor, he spent years trying to heal and forget the past. However, when his brother’s fiancée, Gwen Conliffe (Emily Blunt), seeks him out for help in finding her missing love, Talbot returns home to aid in the search. He soon discovers that a beast of immense strength and unquenchable bloodlust is terrorizing the villagers, and a suspicious Scotland Yard inspector named Aberline (Hugo Weaving) has arrived to investigate.
As Talbot pieces together the gruesome mystery, he learns of an ancient curse that transforms its victims into werewolves under the full moon. To end the carnage and protect the woman he loves, Talbot must confront the savage creature haunting Blackmoor’s woods. Yet, as he hunts the nightmarish beast, he will uncover a primal side of himself he never knew existed.
