Russell Wilson-Malik Nabers connection already on display at Giants camp

Observations from the first Giants practice of training camp on Wednesday:

Score Values

Russell Wilson threw four touchdown pᴀsses in 11-on-11 red zone drills. Three went to Malik Nabers — it was their first official practice together! — and one to Chris Manhertz.

He also threw a touchdown to Wan’Dale Robinson in 7-on-7.

Time Crunch

How do you juggle four quarterbacks at practice? It’s almost impossible based on time limitations.

Former starter and fan favorite Tommy DeVito took just three snaps in 11-on-11 periods.

Caught My Eye

There are at least two starting positions up for grabs.

CBs Cor’Dale Flott and Deonte Banks rotated with the starters opposite Paulson Adebo. Flott was up first, but Banks shined with a physical pᴀss breakup on a fade against Nabers.

RGs Greg Van Roten, Evan Neal and Jake Kubas all rotated through with the starters. Neal, a former tackle, is also learning left guard.

Injury Report

Several key players who did not participate at the end of spring camp, including Nabers, RB Cam Skattebo, LB Bobby Okereke and DTs Dexter Lawrence and Darius Alexander, were back on the field.

Lawrence was on a snap count.
