Former NBA star Paul Pierce’s Los Angeles home was broken into by burglars, who reportedly stole jewelry and over $100,000 in cash on Friday night. 

The NBA Hall of Famer, 46, wasn’t home when the property became the latest target of Los Angeles’ burglary epidemic, according to TMZ. 

The thieves are said to have made off with luxury watches, over $100,000 in cash and a safe. 

Police are attempting to track down the stolen items, with cops combing through video from the scene. No arrests have been made. 

Pierce, who is originally from Inglewood, California, is just the latest big-name resident of Los Angeles to fall victim to the string of burglaries.

Post Malone, Bella Thorne, Rihanna, Quentin Tarantino and Drake are among Hollywood’s other stars to also be hit over the past few years. 

Meanwhile, Pierce’s fellow athletes have also been targeted while out of town, including former Dodgers All-Star Yasiel Puig. 

The LAPD recently issued a warning over ‘burglary tourists’ making the trip to the City of Angels from South America to rob wealthy homes, per the Los Angeles Times.

‘I can tell you that we have a significant increase in burglaries from organized groups that are outside this country, that are coming into the country, and they are targeting high-end residents,’ LAPD Chief Dominic Choi explained. 

Pierce, a ten-time NBA All-Star who won a ring with the Boston Celtics in 2008, played 19 seasons in the NBA, averaging nearly 20 points, six rebounds, and four rebounds. 

This isn’t the first time Pierce has been the victim of a crime. In 2000, Pierce was stabbed 11 times at a Boston nightclub and had to undergo lung surgery. 

After retiring from the NBA in 2017, Pierce joined the ESPN team as a basketball analyst, including being a part of the ‘NBA Countdown’ pregame show.

However, he was fired by the network in 2021 after he posted an Instagram Live video of himself surrounded by scantily-clad women, seemingly smoking a joint.

The video showed the married father-of-three playing poker and smoking with scantily clad dancers performing in the background. 

Pierce is reportedly set for a return to the nation’s TV screens as he is set to appear alongside Skip Bayless in a regular role on FS1’s Undisputed. 

He will team up with the analyst as the NBA season nears the playoffs, according to the New York Post. 

Nicknamed The Truth – a moniker given to him by Shaquille O’Neal, who told a reporter in 2001: ‘My name is Shaquille O’Neal and Paul Pierce is the motherf****** truth. Quote me on that and don’t take nothing out. I knew he could play, but I didn’t know he could play like this. Paul Pierce is The Truth’. 

He started and ended his career as a Celtic. He spent his first 15 years with the team, winning the 2008 NBA тιтle and being named to 10 All-Star teams.

Only John Havlicek played more season with the Celtics, who retired Pierce’s No. 36 jersey.

Pierce ended as the Celtics’ all-time leaders in three-point field goals (1,823), free throws (6,434) and steals (1,583), and his 24,021 career points trails only Havlicek.

He was traded to the Brooklyn Nets in 2013, spent 2014-15 with Washington and played his final two seasons for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Pierce re-signed with Boston in 2017 so he could retire as a Celtic.

He was a first-time nominee for induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame with the Class of 2021.
