Los Angeles Clippers star Russell Westbrook’s timeline to return to the court from a hand injury is unknown. While he is away, the nine-time NBA All-Star posted a video to his Instagram singing Natasha Bedingfield’s ‘Unwritten’ in his car.
Bedingfield’s 2004 smash hit reached as high as No 5 on the US Billboard charts and the single went double-platinum. Westbrook does not miss many of the words to the catchy song, bopping his head to the beat.
Westbrook sings the hook and the chorus in the 30-second clip on his Instagram story.
In the clip, Westbrook’s left hand can be seen in a bandage as he holds it to his heart while pᴀssionately belting out the lyrics.
While the medical benefits of singing Bedingfield are unknown, Westbrook’s fans are loving that he is enjoying the music and is in good spirits despite the injury.

Westbrook has not played since injuring his hand against one of his former teams, the Washington Wizards, on March 1.
The Clippers have gone 4-5 since Westbrook’s injury, but still sit in fourth place in the Western Conference standings.
Los Angeles’ current slide is removing its safety net to avoid the Play-In Tournament, as the Mavericks, Suns and Kings are in a three-way tie for sixth place 3.5 games back.
Until then, Westbrook will spend time perfecting his rendition of ‘Unwritten’ for a possible appearance on a future season of ‘The Masked Singer’.
