ALIENS have appeared to have arrived in Dublin after a number of UFOs were spotted hovering over Dundrum.
David Collins was left baffled after sighting a bunch of bizarre flashing lights zipping across the sky from his bedroom last night.
The mystified Irishman captured incredible footage of the freakish objects bouncing up and down above houses.
Gobsmacked David revealed the extraordinary lights seemed to interact with each other – and remained in the air for over four hours.
He told us: “I wasn’t freaked out just bewildered, just curious, it was wrecking my brain trying to figure out a logical explanation. I’ve never seen anything like it before.
“I was just on my computer playing poker in my bedroom when they caught my attention.
STRANGE MOVEMENTS
“That was at about 8.30pm in the evening, there was about four of them, a bunch of flashing lights and they were in the sky until 12.45am so for over four hours they were out there.
“They kept moving like falling behind the clouds and the chimneys and then reemerging again. They were moving in a linear way like up and down and then left and right and constantly flickering.
“Then they’d kind of fade out into nothing and then brighten up again. Sometimes it was if they would move towards me and then move away again.
“Two of them were kind of moving towards each other, moving in sync, like they were copying each others movements.”
WHAT COULD THEY BE?
Baffled David has been left scratching his head trying to work out what exactly the mysterious objects could be.
He added: “My first thought was that it could be lights on top of the polls at the Luas station but they wouldn’t move like that.
“I know SpaceX had launched like 60 satellites into space recently too but I doubt you could see them from Dundrum.
“The most reasonable explanation is that they were drones but who would be flying drones in bunches for hours at night?”
The Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) said they did not receive any reports of UFOs in the area last night.
A spokesperson said: “In cases like these we’d generally get official reports from air traffic control if pilots report anything.
“I would encourage anyone who makes any unusual sightings to report it to the IAA.”
PAST SIGHTINGS
Last November the IAA launched an investigation after a number of pilots spotted UFOs flying off the coast of Kerry.
One pilot from a British Airways flight asked Shannon Airport Air Traffic Control if any “military exercises” were taking place.
He was recorded asking: “Is there any military exercises going on now?”
“Ok. It was moving so fast that I couldn’t even really see it.”
Two other pilots also reported seeing the mysterious object, with one Virgin Airlines pilot discussing the possibility of a meteor with “multiple objects following the same sort of trajectory”.
Shannon Airport informed the pilots they would be looking into the reports after other further sightings of the UFO.
The IAA said in a statement: “Following reports from a small number of aircraft on Friday, November 9, of unusual air activity, the IAA has filed a report.
“This report will be investigated under the normal confidential occurrence investigation process.”
