Authorities Investigate Double Homicide Near Kruger National Park Border Area

South African authorities are investigating the deaths of two tourists who were found near the Luvuvhu River, close to the Crooks Corner area bordering Kruger National Park.

According to officials, the victims had been reported missing from a nearby campsite before being discovered with fatal stab wounds. One victim has been identified as a 71-year-old man, while formal identification of the second victim is still ongoing.

Law enforcement and park authorities have confirmed that a green Ford Ranger ᴀssociated with the victims is also missing. Investigators are exploring all possibilities, including whether the vehicle may have been taken and possibly driven out of the area, though no conclusion has been confirmed.

SANParks has acknowledged the seriousness of the incident and stated that violent crime of this nature is extremely rare within the park. Security patrols and monitoring in the surrounding region have been increased as the investigation continues.

Authorities have not confirmed a motive at this stage and have urged the public to avoid speculation while forensic teams and detectives work to establish a clear timeline of events.

The case remains under active investigation, and officials are expected to release further updates once verified information becomes available.
