тιтans’ Will Levis says his situation ‘sucks’ following Cam Ward draft pick

Well, at least Will Levis is aware of his potential future in Tennessee.

With the тιтans selecting quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, it’s presumed that the Miami standout will be starting come Week 1, leaving Nevis on the sidelines.

Levis, 25, spoke on the тιтans’ current quarterback situation during his first media session since the team drafted Ward, saying that “it sucks” to be in his position.

“Anyone who’s every been in my situation would agree that it sucks. I’m just trying to do the best I can to not let it affect me and just being the same dude every day in the building and being there for the guys however I can and just trying to get better every day,” Levis told reporters Wednesday.

The тιтans’ 2023 second-round draft pick threw for 2,091 pᴀssing yards with 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions last season.

Levis, who led Tennessee to just two wins in 2024 and got benched midway through the season, said he has learned a lot from his struggles.

“I’ll never forget it. I’m grateful for it. I look back at that year and I feel like I got absolutely everything thrown at me. Nothing can really surprise me at this point,” he said. “As much as it sucked when we were in it, in retrospect, I think we can all say we’ve learned a lot in it, especially Brian [Callahan] in his second year being a head coach.

“I think the first year was like his little test run. He’s already [made] improvements to his philosophy and his way of going about things. All of us have recognized and appreciated, just like everyone else has improved their everyday lifestyle habits.”

During this offseason, Levis spent a significant amount of time refining his mechanics with former NFL quarterback Jordan Palmer, and he noted that it helped him.

“The last six weeks have been fun getting back here with the guys. I went out and trained on my own out in California. That was a lot of fun. That was about seven weeks,” Levis said. “Then, I spent some time with family and took time to enjoy the rest of my life outside of football.

“It was a lot of just relearning my stroke, relearning my body and trying to get back to the basics of that. I feel like it’s really paid off. I’ve been feeling good the last few weeks.”
