The Pittsburgh Steelers are still waiting to find out if Aaron Rodgers is going to be their quarterback for the 2025 season.
But if he is, he could potentially have a sensational new offensive weapon to partner with under the guidance of Mike Tomlin.
Pittsburgh-based reporter Adam Crowley sparked huge excitement among the Steelers fanbase on Friday by mysteriously tweeting out ‘Chris Olave’ – seemingly linking the team to the New Orleans Saints wide receiver.
He followed it up by saying: ‘To be clear. I had someone who would be in the know text me “Chris Olave.”‘
The Steelers have reshuffled their options at WR in the offseason. They traded for DK Metcalf from Seattle Seahawks before Geoge Pickens was sent to the Dallas Cowboys last month.
The ultimate question remains, however, over who will be throwing them the ball in the upcoming season.

The Steelers are waiting to hear if Aaron Rodgers becomes the team’s new quarterback
So far, Mason Rudolph is the most senior option on the roster but there seems to be optimism around the organization that Rodgers will eventually sign and play on at the age of 41.
And if he does, he’ll have an incredible first game to make a mark for his new team.
The 2025 schedule dropped this week and pits the Steelers on the road to the New York Jets, Rodgers’ former team, on the first day of the new season.
The Jets are also led by Justin Fields, who was the backup QB in Pittsburgh last season.
The Steelers made the playoffs last season with Russell Wilson as quarterback but lost in the first round to Baltimore Ravens.
Olave is one of the standout players for the Saints, who are going into the new season with a huge change in their own offseason line with Derek Carr retiring.
The quarterback surprisingly called it a day due to a shoulder injury that left him facing surgery that would have potentially ended his 2025 campaign before it had even begun.
New head coach Kellen Moore said he is going to rotate his starting quarterback role between Tyler Shough with backups Spencer Rattler and Jake Haener in 2025.
