Aaron Rodgers sparks more marriage confusion as he leaves a gym in Los Angeles

Aaron Rodgers has sparked more confusion about his marital status as the free agent quarterback was spotted on Wednesday without a ring on his finger.

Rodgers, who revealed last year that he is in a relationship with a woman named Brittani, fueled marriage rumors last week at the Kentucky Derby when he was seen wearing a dark band on his left ring finger.

Days later, however, Rodgers appeared without any such jewelry on his hand as he was seen leaving a gym in Los Angeles.

Wearing a grey hoodie, black baseball cap and athletic shorts, Rodgers wore tan sandals as he carried a pair of sneakers in one hand.

The 41-year-old’s appearance at Churchill Downs led to speculation that he may have tied the knot with Brittani, though a source previously played down that notion to the Daily Mail.

However, the source didn’t deny that Rodgers may have proposed, and acknowledged that Rodgers does want to marry Brittani and start a family with her.

‘If Aaron is married, he isn’t telling anyone about it, all he has mentioned is that he wants to marry Brittani and wants to be a father,’ the insider told Daily Mail. ‘But if he has, that’s still the million dollar question. But the moment he will be a father is when he is done playing football.

‘One thing that has slowed down him signing with the Steelers is because he wanted to find a way to somehow sign with the Vikings, but since that isn’t happening, he could still be convinced to retire, and that is if Brittani were to get pregnant.

‘Aaron is a very particular person, and he will make his playing decision within the next few weeks, and if he is married, he will mention that on a future Pat McAfee appearance. People close to him think that he isn’t officially and it might be a promise ring.’

Rodgers, who has yet to sign with a team this offseason after being released by the Jets, gave some rare insight into his ‘serious’ relationship last month as he opened up on personal issues he was handling during the NFL offseason.

‘I’ll set it all straight. From the jump, I’m in a different phase of my life, I’m 41 years old, I’m in a serious relationship, I have personal commitments I’ve made… and people in my inner circle battling difficult stuff. To make a commitment to a team is a big thing,’ he confessed while discussing his free agency on the Pat McAfee Show.

Rodgers’ last public relationship was with actress Shailene Woodley , with the pair going their separate ways in 2022 after two years together.

The notoriously private Rodgers revealed to McAfee in December that he had found love, though he did not go into any further details on who Brittani is or how they met.

Rodgers was discussing buying Christmas presents for loved ones when he casually dropped in that he is dating again.

‘I was a little bit worried because there was one package left for my girlfriend Brittani that hadn’t showed up yet, so I’d been waiting on this to show up,’ he said. ‘It showed up today so everything is great now.’

If Rodgers is to return to football in 2025, his most realistic option does appear to be the Steelers, after they waited until the sixth round to pick a quarterback in the NFL Draft.

However, a minority owner of the team provided a bleak update when asked about the situation this week.

Asked by CNBC about the free-agent quarterback, Steelers minority owner and TWG Global Thomas Tull deflected in an odd manner.

‘I’m here to talk about AI , and that’s a more complex issue than artificial intelligence,’ Tull said.
