The Houston Rockets announced the pᴀssing of former star Robert Reid on Tuesday through social media.
Reid was 68 and pᴀssed away after a battle with cancer.
Reid’s NBA career was highlighted by helping the Rockets to their first two NBA Finals appearances in 1981 and 1986.
Houston owner Tilman Ferтιтta led the tributes to the star guard.
‘It is with great sorrow that my family and I received the news of the pᴀssing of Rockets legend, Robert Reid,’ Ferтιтta said on social media.

‘I have had the privilege of knowing Robert for over 40 years, and his presence always brought joy and positivity to any room he entered,’ Ferтιтta continued.
Reid spent his first 10 NBA seasons with the Houston Rockets, before finishing his career with the Hornets, Trail Blazers and 76ers.
Reid did not play basketball during the 1981-1982 season for religious reasons.
Reid was a second-round pick in the 1977 NBA Draft of the Rockets.
He ranks in the top 10 in Rockets’ history in games played, steals, points, rebounds, blocks and ᴀssists.
