Bill Belichick’s CBS Sunday Morning interview being gatecrashed by his girlfriend Jordon Hudson was not the only awkward moment from the segment.
Belichick was asked about his relationship with Patriots owner Robert Kraft, whom he spent 24 seasons with before they went their separate ways in early 2024 (Belichick said the split was ‘mutual’, while Kraft previously told the Breakfast Club that the coach was ‘fired’).
Regardless, Kraft was not mentioned at all in Belichick’s new book, ‘The Art of Winning,’ and CBS’s Tony Dokoupil grilled him about that fact in what turned out to be a painfully awkward moment of television.
‘Twenty-four years together, six Super Bowls – unless I’m wrong, he’s not in this book. How come?,’ Dokoupil asked.
‘Well again, it’s about my life lessons in football and it’s really more about the ones that I experienced directly,’ Belichick responded.
Doukoupil then sH๏τ back: ‘He’s not even in the acknowledgements section.’

Kraft and Belichick held a press conference as the coach left the Patriots in 2024
‘Correct,’ Belichick shrugged, as the camera remained fixed on him for an uncomfortable few seconds.
Belichick was then asked if he felt he was treated with ‘dignity and respect’ when he was let go from his role with the Patriots, to which he responded: ‘It was a mutual decision.’
He repeated that once more after Doukoupil informed him Kraft had used the word ‘fired.’
Hudson, 24, was described as ‘a constant presence during the interview’ and at one point sH๏τ down a question about the origins her and Belichick’s relationship.
The couple and their 49-year age gap have sparked controversy since taking their relationship public last year, and Dokoupil asked the coach how they met.

But Hudson, sat just off-camera, interjected before Belichick could say anything.
‘We’re not talking about this,’ she said.

Belichick was also asked about the attention on his and Hudson’s relationship, a question which he did answer albeit in somewhat vague fashion.
‘[I’ve] Never been too bothered about what everyone else thinks. Just try to do what I feel is best for me and what’s right,’ he said.
Despite Hudson’s hesitancy for her relationship with Belichick to be discussed on air, she’s eagerly documented their relationship on social media over the last year.
She recently posted on Instagram to celebrate Belichick turning 73.
‘Wishing the happiest of birthdays to my twin flame,’ the Miss Maines USA hopeful wrote in the caption.
