Shedeur Sanders was not the only NFL hopeful who was cruelly prank called during the Draft, it has emerged.
The Colorado pᴀsser – who ultimately waited five rounds to hear his name called – was the victim of a hoax on Friday as he received a call from someone pretending to be Saints GM Mickey Loomis.
And something eerily similar happened to тιԍнт end Tyler Warren on Thursday, with Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz reporting that he received a prank call while the Jets were picking at No. 7 – potentially from the same person who duped Sanders.
Warren’s representation is said to believe the number which called the тιԍнт end is the same – or is at least from the same area code – as the one which called Sanders.
The Penn State тιԍнт end was not picked by the Jets, though he didn’t have to wait too much longer as the Colts selected him at No. 14.
Sanders’ prank callers were unmasked on Saturday as a video emerged of a young man wearing an Ole Miss sweater making the call while his friend sat nearby on a couch.

It has now emerged that the same thing happened to Tyler Warren on Thursday night
‘This is Mickey Loomis here, the GM of the New Orleans Saints, how are you doing?’ the caller asked Sanders, who replied: ‘Good, I’ve been waiting on you.’
The prankster continued: ‘It’s been a long wait, man, (but) we are going to take you as our next pick right here.’
After Sanders replied, ‘that would be legendary’, he is told ‘you’re going to have to wait a little bit longer, man. Sorry about that!’
The caller then hung up, prompting hysterical laughter among his friends. ‘Oh my God, he bought it!’ one could be heard shouting.
Sanders’ end of the cruel prank was captured on his Twitch livestream of the Draft, which swiftly cut off following the humiliating moment.
It’s unclear how the callers got Sanders’ number.
He later revealed that he was using a ‘specific phone number’ that was ‘not in my name, not in anything.’
He explained: ‘Nobody had that number. The number was only in the email threat that the NFL sent out to only teams.’
