Travis Hunter’s father will get to see his son get drafted into the NFL in person.

Travis Hunter Sr., who is on probation related to drug and gun charges from an arrest in November 2023, has been granted permission to attend Thursday’s 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, according to reports.

The elder Hunter was busted 18 months ago at a traffic stop in Palm Beach County, Fla., and he was sentenced to 90 days in jail. He was unable to attend his son’s Heisman Trophy-winning presentation in December in New York, but the two-way Colorado star is expected to be among the top picks in this year’s draft.

“Dad, I love you,” Hunter Jr. said during his Heisman acceptance speech. “All the stuff you went through … I did it for you, man. All the times that you didn’t get to see me, or the time you came to see my games.

“From seeing probably two games in high school to seeing me on TV every weekend and coming to see me, that means so much to me. I know you wanted to be here, and you can’t. But trust me, I got you.”

Hunter’s father will be allowed to attend Thursday’s draft after gaining an exception to his travel restrictions under his three-year probation agreement, but he will be limited to his H๏τel and the draft grounds around Lambeau Field, according to USA Today, before returning to his Florida home.

The younger Hunter began his collegiate career at Jackson State before following coach Deion Sanders to Colorado, where he teamed with the Hall of Famer’s son, quarterback and fellow draft prospect Shedeur Sanders, to lead the Buffaloes to a nine-win season in 2024.

The 21-year-old Hunter starred on both sides of the ball at cornerback and wide receiver in college, and he has expressed a desire to play both positions in the NFL.

The тιтans are widely expected to grab Miami quarterback Cam Ward with the first overall pick in the draft, with the Browns holding the No.2 selection and the Giants third.

Hunter had 96 receptions for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdowns last season, plus four interceptions and 25 solo tackles on the defensive side. He was named first-team AP All-American as an all-purpose player on offense and at corner on defense, and his No.12 jersey already has been retired in Boulder.
