NFL draft prospect Isaiah Bond turns himself in to police on Sєxual ᴀssault warrant

NFL draft prospect Isaiah Bond surrendered to police in Frisco, Texas, over an outstanding warrant involving Sєxual ᴀssault, according to multiple reports.

The expected second-round pick has since posted bond and was released.

The former Texas wide receiver also released a statement Thursday evening on Instagram after the news broke.

“Regarding the accusation made against me, I would appreciate the time and opportunity to defend myself and prove the claims made, patently false,” Bond’s statement read. “I am in full cooperation with the authorities and will remain a willing and active participant in the investigation. Unfortunately, claims like these prove to be harmful to all involved, absent full review.

“I kindly request that all reserve judgement until the authorities provide a complete report based on truth and evidence.”

It’s not clear when or where the alleged incident occurred.

Bond, who played his first two seasons with Alabama, transferred to Texas last offseason.

Currently, he sits in ESPN’s No. 10 spot for best wide receivers available in this year’s draft class.

Bond had 34 catches for 540 yards and five touchdowns across 14 games for the Longhorns last season.

He also had four carries for 98 yards and a touchdown as he dealt with a lingering ankle injury.

He caught only one pᴀss for 22 yards in the SEC тιтle game and was sidelined for the first round of the College Football Playoff against Clemson.

Bond later came back for the Peach Bowl against Arizona State but didn’t catch a pᴀss.

In the following game, the CFP semifinal, he had one catch for eight yards in a loss to Ohio State.

He later ran a 4.39-second 40-yard dash at the NFL combine.
