BREAKING NEWSNFL prospect Isaiah Bond turns himself into police over Sєxual ᴀssault warrant just two weeks before draft

Former Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond has found himself facing legal woes just weeks out from the NFL Draft, according to reports.

The 21-year-old, who has declared for this month’s NFL Draft, turned himself in to police in Frisco, Texas on Thursday morning over a matter related to an outstanding warrant for Sєxual ᴀssault, according to Ian Rapoport.

Bond has since posted bond and has been released.

In a statement shared following his release, the draft prospect called for a chance to defend himself against the ‘patently false’ allegations.

‘Regarding the accusation made against me, I would appreciate the time and opportunity to defend myself and prove the claims made, patently false,’ the statement read.

‘I am in full cooperation with the authorities and will remain a willing and active participant in the investigation. Unfortunately, claims like these prove to be harmful to all involved, absent full review. I kindly request that all reserve judgement until the authorities provide a complete report based on truth and evidence.’

Bond played his first two seasons at Alabama before transferring to the Longhorns last offseason. It is currently unclear if the alleged incident took place during his time in Tuscaloosa or Austin.

The wideout is expected to be a potential second-round pick in Green Bay later this month.

He has top-30 visits with the Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills and Tennessee тιтans, according to Pro Football Talk. He also is scheduled to attend the Falcons’ local prospect day.

Bond ran a 4.39 in the 40-yard dash at the Scouting Combine and posted times of 4.34 and 4.35 at Texas’ Pro Day. However, his stock could now take a hit.

He was limited by an ankle injury last season having just one catch for 22 yards in the SEC Championship. He then sat out the first round of the College Football Playoffs against Clemson before returned for the Peach Bowl against Arizona State.

In Texas’s Cotton Bowl loss to Ohio State, Bond managed just one catch for eight yards.

The Georgia native finished the season with 34 catches for 540 yards and five touchdowns along with four carries for 98 yards and a touchdown.
