Shedeur Sanders could fall in 2025 NFL Draft as surprising betting favorite emerges

Shedeur Sanders’ standing is the biggest mystery of the 2025 NFL Draft.

The Colorado quarterback was initially expected to be a top-three pick, but the odds of that happening are beginning to dwindle.

Sanders is now favored to be drafted by the Saints, who draft ninth and own +270 odds at FanDuel.

New Orleans , was once rumored to be looking to trade up for Sanders and that remains a possibility, although it appears Sanders’ stock is falling as April 25 approaches.

Sanders recently met with the quarterback-needy Steelers, who hold the No. 21 pick, leading to some speculation that his handlers believe he may not be picked in the top 10.

Pittsburgh is now the third-favorite to land Sanders, coming in at +450 odds, moving a bit from the +600 odds he was sitting at prior to the report of the meeting.

The Giants, owners of the third pick, own +420 odds to take Sanders.

If the Giants pᴀss on Sanders for Abdul Carter or Travis Hunter Jr., it would be a complete mystery where he ends up.

The Saints are a fair destination, as ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. has listed Sanders as his No. 1 quarterback, ahead of Miami quarterback Cam Ward, the presumed top pick.

Kiper also projected that the Saints would draft Sanders at No. 9 despite having him as the top-rated quarterback in the draft.

Sanders’ father, Deion, previously said they were mainly focused on talking to teams in the top three, as they previously expected him to land in that area.
