Kayla Nicole said she’s done dating in the public eye after her five-year relationship with Chiefs тιԍнт end Travis Kelce.
During Thursday’s debut of her Dear Media podcast, “The Pre-Game,” the influencer explained how she’s dating under the radar now after being under a microscope in her past relationship.
“I am like John Cena now with men — you don’t see me,” Kayla said when asked by a listener if dating someone in the public eye altered how she dates now. “You dont see me with a man and you won’t ever see me with a man until I’m married with kids.”
Although Kayla didn’t name Kelce, the two were in the spotlight during their on-and-off relationship from 2017-22.
The three-time Super Bowl champ moved on with Taylor Swift in the summer of 2023.
“I am out here hiding, dating and hiding, OK,” said Kayla, who didn’t reveal any names. “I am the queen of a private room, in a back room, in a corner closet and I have no shame in it. I have no shame in it. And honestly, to each is own. But for me, I feel like it’s working right now and if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
The “Special Forces” alum explained that she changed her dating habits in order to protect herself and those close to her.
“I don’t think I ever want to publicly date another man until I am absolutely sure that they are my long-term person,” Kayla said. “Just because I want to protect the things that mean most to me.
“And sometimes when you’re a little too open… and transparent, you open yourself up to a world of opinion a world of enтιтlement, people want answers.
“People think that you owe them an explanation about every single thing in your relationship.. I just want to be able to love without the pressure.”
Kayla previously opened up about emotional repercussions of the negative attention she received when Kelce and Swift’s relationship became public.
