BREAKING NEWSChiefs sign two-time Super Bowl winner Mike Edwards

Veteran NFL safety Mike Edwards is returning to the Kansas City Chiefs on a one-year deal, according to reports.

The 28-year-old, a third round draft pick in 2019, has spent time with the Buccaneers, Chiefs, Bills and тιтans since leaving Kentucky.

He is a two-time Super Bowl winner, having won the Vince Lombardi Trophy with the Bucs (in February 2021) and the Chiefs (February 2024)

Edwards first moved to Kansas City in 2023 and now the safety is going back to the Chiefs, according to NFL Network.

He signed with the тιтans on November 6, following his release by the Buffalo Bills,  but was cut by Tennessee only a week later – without playing a game.

Edwards was then claimed off waivers by the Buccaneers, where he began his career in 2019, and played in their wild card loss to the Washington Commanders.

Elsewhere, Bills star James Cook has put his Orchard Park home up for sale – fueling rumors that the running back could be on his way out of Buffalo.

The 25-year-old, a second-round draft pick in 2022, has cemented himself as one of the NFL’s most destructive running backs.

Only Jahmyr Gibbs (20) scored more touchdowns than Cook (18) in 2024 as he amᴀssed more than 1,000 rushing yards for the Bills.

But the 25-year-old is now entering the final year of his $5.8million rookie contract and the Bills have paused negotiations over a new deal. Cook is currently slated to become a free agent at the end of the 2025 season.

Cook has indicated that he wants a bumper extension worth $15m a year but Bills GM Brandon Beane recently said he doesn’t envisage an agreement ‘anytime soon’.

Now, as reported by WIVB, Cook has put other NFL teams on red alert by putting his home on the market. The three-bedroom house is listed for $710,000 and Cook’s NFL memorabilia can be seen inside.
