Already a holiday for New England Patriots fans everywhere, March 28 has now been adopted by the 24-year-old girlfriend of former head coach Bill Belichick.

‘Happy 3-28 to those who celebrate,’ read the text on an Instagram post from Jordon Hudson.

The image shows the grinning former cheerleader pH๏τographing the mirrored image of herself alongside her 72-year-old boyfriend.

But while the newly hired North Carolina football coach is wearing Tar Heels apparel, Hudson is clad in a long-sleeve grey t-shirt congratulating the Atlanta Falcons on winning Super Bowl LI.

The joke here – as Falcons fans know all too well – is that Atlanta didn’t win Super Bowl LI on February 5, 2017 in Houston, Texas. The Falcons lost that game, 34-28, after holding a 28-3 lead and surrendering 31 unanswered points to Tom Brady & Co. in what became the biggest comeback in Super Bowl history. Naturally, 3-28 has remained a reason to for Patriots fans to celebrate ever since. 

For those wondering, Hudson was a month shy of her 16th birthday at the time of the historic game, while the 64-year-old Belichick was still dating his previous girlfriend, Linda Holliday.

It’s not the first time Hudson has been seen in that exact shirt. She was also spotted wearing it in February, when the couple attended Super Bowl festivities in and around New Orleans. 

And for anyone thinking that such gloating is beneath Belichick, it’s good to remember he named his $225,000 powerboat, ‘VIII Rings,’ after the six Super Bowls he won as a head coach in New England and two he got as a defensive coordinator with the New York Giants.

One fan suggested that Belichick’s animosity against the Falcons stems from Atlanta’s decision against hiring him after his dismissal in Foxborough in January of 2024.

‘Absolutely diabolical,’ she wrote. ‘Especially since Atlanta didn’t give him an offer.’

But many, many other commenters were curious about Hudson’s age at the time of the game. 

‘She was 16 when this happened,’ wrote one critic, rounding up from 15 years, 11 months. 

‘Wasn’t she like 12 during that?’ another asked, widening their age gap a bit more.

And the exaggerations continued: ‘Was she alive for that Super Bowl?’

But for all the criticism of the couple’s 48-year age gap, Hudson hasn’t backed down. She’s continued to post images of herself and Belichick on social media, and appears to have become a central figure in his life as he begins his first college job in Chapel Hill.

She called out an Instagram critic and Philadelphia Eagles fan online only weeks earlier. And when fans questioned Belichick’s health after seeing her helping him out of a basketball game, Hudson responded with online pics of him hoisting her with his legs on a sandy North Carolina beach.

Furthermore, Hudson has sparked engagement rumors regarding the pair after she was captured with a huge ring on her left ring finger by DailyMail.com during Super Bowl week.

After that, an anonymous source told Page Six that the pair ‘have definitely discussed marriage.’

The source went on to say that the pair getting married ‘isn’t out of the question,’ before revealing one stipulation a potential marriage between them would have.

‘They would definitely get a prenup,’ the source said.

The insider added that ‘Jordon hasn’t put any pressure on Bill at all to propose, and she feels like it will happen when and if the time is right.’

That report came after the couple spent a very public Super Bowl week together in New Orleans, as they were seen at a charity event ahead of the game.
