Abdul Carter makes huge claim about next month's NFL draft order with Cam Ward expected to be first pick

The top picks in the NFL Draft are among the best prospective players that the sport has to offer. But one star believes that he is truly the best of the best in the class of 2025.

With the draft just about a month away, the top college football players in the nation are set to find out which NFL teams they may play for when their names get called in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

It’s believed that quarterbacks will be taken early in the draft – with the Tennessee тιтans, Cleveland Browns, and New York Giants owning the top three picks and all in need of a quarterback.

But despite their need in these areas, it’s likely that none of the quarterbacks in this class are truly the best players in the field.

Among the top choices, one believed to be the best in the class is Penn State pᴀss rusher Abdul Carter. But, despite his mᴀssive talent, it’s possible he’ll be pᴀssed up on in favor of the likes of Miami quarterback Cam Ward or Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

That isn’t stopping Carter from trying to manifest himself as the top pick. The NFL-bound player posted to X, formerly Twitter, to brag about his talents.

Carter chose to use a bizarre font in his tweet, which read, ‘#1 OVERALL PICK, 30 days away… InshaAllah.’

The post continued: ‘don’t let all this QB need talk fool yall. It’s already known who’s the Best, and no QB is in that discussion! like I said, the Best PLAYER goes number 1. Generational, remember.’

Carter is universally believed to be a top-five pick in this year’s draft and has been pegged by many to be the top overall prospect in the pool.

ESPN draft expert Mel Kiper Jr has Carter as the second-best prospect in the class of 2025 behind Colorado cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter.

In the latest NFL mock drafts, The Athletic has Carter taken second by Cleveland – as do six of CBS Sports’ seven drafters. Additionally, Fox’s Joel Klatt has him selected by New England at four and ESPN’s Mike Tannenbaum has Carter going fifth to Jacksonville.

Last season, he put up 93 total tackles, 12 sacks, and 23.5 tackles for a loss as well as a forced fumble.
