Former Nets point guard Ben Simmons has put his stunning Brooklyn pad on the market for $17million following his recent move to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Simmons, who joined the Clippers after the Nets agreed to buy out his contract last month, is looking to part with his five-bedroom home in the Olympia Dumbo tower – a 33-story, ultra-exclusive tower located next to Brooklyn Bridge.

The Australian-born star first purchased the combination condo for $14m in 2023, according to the Wall Street Journal.

It spans 5,261 square feet across the building’s 21st floor and includes a number of high-end amenities; such as a state-of-the-art home theater, walk-in custom dressing room and dedicated walk-in shoe closet.

An insider on the deal told The New York Post after Simmons acquired the condo two years ago: ‘It’s so big, he could probably play basketball in the apartment.’

The five-bedroom, five-bathroom property boasts heated floors, custom lighting, and power shades and curtains, along with an oversized laundry room.

Simmons’ home also includes an open chef’s kitchen, a wet bar, a gym and an entertainment and guest wing – where the home theater is located.

However, the unique-selling point of the condo is its 322-square-foot wraparound terrace that offers breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty. 

The Olympic Dumbo tower, which opened its doors in 2023, is also packed out with a private tennis court, game lounge with two-lane bowling, boxing gym, pet spa, exclusive club lounge,  juice bar and much more.

Simmons is not the only A-list name to have been attracted to the building, with actor Michael B. Jordan and tennis star Naomi Osaka also showing an interest in living there in recent years.

The NBA player was in the final season of his five-year, $177.2m deal with Brooklyn before being cut by the team last month.

That brought an end to his disappointing stint with the franchise, which began when he sat out the 2021-22 season after being traded for James Harden. 

The Nets hoped he would complement Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, proving the final piece in their NBA championship puzzle.

But Simmons, who has struggled with recurring back injuries, is yet to live up to the potential reflected by his selection with the first overall pick in the 2016 draft.

With the Nets, the three-time All-Star and former Rookie of the Year appeared in 90 games (69 starts) and averaged 6.5 points, 6.2 rebounds and 6.3 ᴀssists over 25.4 minutes per game. 

Those numbers lagged behind the stats he put up in his previous spell with the Philadelphia 76ers.

In 275 games as a Sixer, he averaged 15.9 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.7 ᴀssists.

Simmons missed two full seasons with the Sixers – 2016-17 due to injury, and 2021-22 because of a holdout and a back injury.
