The Chicago Bulls’ six championship banners from Michael Jordan and Co.’s two three-peats will not be displayed at United Center for the rest of the NBA season due to a mishap at a Disturbed concert.
Staff from the Bulls’ home discovered ‘minor damage’ to the banners after a concert that featured Three Days Grace, Sevendust, and Disturbed on March 8.
The event, particularly Disturbed’s set involved pyrotechnics located underneath the banners.
On Friday, a clip from the audience was posted on X showing how the pyrotechnics had one of the banners twisting on top of the floor while the rest swayed back and forth from the smoke.
After the concert, the fabric of all six banners was significantly damaged from the heat that warped their bottom halves.
The Bulls’ banners from their тιтles in 1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, and 1998 are flanked by banners for their nine division championships and six conference тιтles and hang from the rafters during most events at United Center.

The United Center originally hoped to have the banners back by Thursday’s home game against the Brooklyn Nets. However, the time required for the repairs will go past the end of the NBA regular season in April.
‘United Center is currently working with the Bulls to explore options to repair these banners,’ United Center communications said in a statement.
‘While the banners will not be in place for the remainder of this season, we do anticipate them being back in place next season.’
The band will play 14 more NBA venues on their tour, including the banner-draping homes of the Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs, and Golden State Warriors.
With 16 games left in the regular season, the Bulls will host six meetings without the banners as they sit 10th in the Eastern Conference.
