Skip Bayless fumes at Cowboys' latest 'embarrᴀssing' move for NFL star who could 'barely get on the field' last year

With the Dallas Cowboys looking for additions to their offense, they recently signed a pᴀss catcher to be a weapon for quarterback Dak Prescott’s air attack. And Skip Bayless doesn’t like him at all.

The former Fox Sports pundit took to social media after the Cowboys announced that they would be adding free agent wide receiver Parris Campbell to the team.

Campbell, a second-round pick out of Ohio State in 2019, previously played for the Indianapolis Colts and New York Giants before spending last season on the Philadelphia Eagles.

Bayless wasn’t thrilled with the signing – citing Campbell’s lack of production and unrealized potential as reasons why.

‘I’m sorry, it’s just embarrᴀssing that the Cowboys signed Parris Campbell to some cheap 1-year deal,’ Bayless posted to X, formerly Twitter.

‘Cut by the Giants 2 years ago, barely could get on the field for the champ Eagles last season (5 games, 6 catches, 30 yds). Another high pick (2nd rder) who never lived up.’

Bayless’ wrath may be a little misplaced. Campbell is only on a one year deal and considering his career trajectory, it’s not likely he’ll be fighting for a high snap count with the likes of CeeDee Lamb and Jalen Tolbert.

After impressing with a 1,063 yard, 12 touchdown season in his redshirt senior year of college as a Buckeye, Campbell hasn’t even surpᴀssed 650 receiving yards in the NFL.

Injuries have de-railed his career multiple times – having only played two seasons of double-digit games.

In six total NFL seasons, Campbell has only put up a paltry 1,117 yards and six touchdowns.

Across the past two NFL seasons, he has combined for just 26 catches, 134 yards, and one touchdown in 17 games and three starts.

He does, however, have one thing that Cowboys fans haven’t had in over three decades: a Super Bowl ring. Campbell played in all three playoff games for the Eagles, but did not record any statistics.
