Alien: Covenant (2017) is a chilling sci-fi horror film directed by Ridley Scott, continuing the story from Prometheus (2012) and leading closer to the origins of the terrifying Xenomorph species. The film follows the crew of the Covenant, a colony ship on a mission to settle on a distant planet. The planet, it turns out, was once the home of the Engineers, the ancient race responsible for the creation of humanity. But what they discover about the Engineers’ legacy and David’s unsettling role in the creation of the monstrous creatures leads to terrifying consequences.
As the crew fights for survival against the brutal alien threat, they must uncover the truth behind the origins of the Xenomorphs and what David’s true intentions are. The film builds towards a tense and horrifying conclusion, with the ever-present specter of the Xenomorph looming larger than ever.
