DeAndre Hopkins’ spookily accurate post from five years ago resurfaces after his blockbuster free agency move

It’s not clear if NFL wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is psychic, clairvoyant, or just generally all-knowing. But he may have spoken a productive partnership into existence with a social media post from over five years ago.

Just a few days ago, reports revealed that Hopkins agreed to a deal with the AFC powerhouse Baltimore Ravens on a one-year, $6million contract.

In the aftermath of the announcement, fans noticed that the former Houston Texans, Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee тιтans, and Kansas City Chiefs wideout made something of a prediction in a tweet from February 2020.

Hopkins posted a picture with himself, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, and running back Derrick Henry – who at the time was on the Tennessee тιтans.

Hopkins captioned the image, ‘How many TD’s would this trio total?’

Well, now we might be able to find out. All three of them are set to play in Baltimore this upcoming season and they could form one of the H๏τtest offenses in football.

Hopkins himself has struggled to find consistency since leaving Houston for Arizona. After one particularly strong season, injuries hampered his 2021 and 2022 campaigns – limiting his production.

He was cut by the Cardinals and then signed with the тιтans in free agency. It was in Tennessee that Hopkins had his last thousand-yard season, putting up 1,057 yards and seven touchdowns in that time.

Hopkins was traded to Kansas City midway through last season, but still could not return to that thousand-yard form as he ended with 610 yards and five touchdowns.

But all of that could change as he’d form a ᴅᴇᴀᴅly receiving trio with Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. Add to that the pᴀss catching talents of тιԍнт ends Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely, and Jackson could have the best aerial ᴀssault in the NFL at his disposal.

And then there’s the ground game, which Jackson and Henry have serious contributions to.

Henry rushed for 1,921 yards last season – with a league-leading 16 rushing touchdowns. Jackson is known for his legs as well, scrambling for 915 yards and four TDs.

The Ravens played in one of the most thrilling games of the NFL playoffs when they traveled to Orchard Park to play the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional round. A dropped two-point conversion by Andrews sunk their hopes of returning to the AFC Championship game.
