Jets have new hole up front as Morgan Moses signs with Patriots in NFL free agency

The Jets watched one of their free agents head to a rival on Monday.

Free agent right tackle Morgan Moses agreed to a contract with the Patriots, a source confirmed.

NFL Network reported it is a three-year, $24 million deal.

The departure of Moses creates a hole at right tackle for the Jets.

The team had a solid offensive line last season and has four returning starters but now will have to replace Moses.

Moses came to the Jets last year in a trade from the Ravens.

It was his second stint with the team after playing for the Jets in 2021.

He started 14 games for the Jets last season as he battled several injuries, including a sprained MCL and fracture in his knee.

The options in free agency at tackle are not that attractive.

It becomes a position to watch in the 2025 NFL Draft for the Jets.

They have Olu Fashanu, John Simpson, Joe Tippmann and Alijah Vera-Tucker returning on the offensive line.

Moses becomes the latest significant Jets contributor to leave — D.J. Reed is signing a three-year, $48 million deal with the Lions.

Reed started 46 games for the Jets across the last three seasons.
