Chiefs’ star receiver Xavier Worthy arrested, charged with ᴀssault

Chiefs star Xavier Worthy was reportedly arrested Friday night on an ᴀssault charge.

Only four weeks after he capped an impressive rookie season by scoring two touchdowns in Super Bowl 59, Worthy was posing for a mugsH๏τ after he was charged with ᴀssault against a family or household member by impeding their breathing or circulation, according to jailhouse records.

Fox26 in Houston was first to report the news.

The arrest happened in Williamson County in Texas.

Worthy, 21, is from California but starred at Texas before he was Chiefs’ first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Chiefs had four players arrested last season, including another receiver coming off a strong rookie season and Super Bowl: Rashee Rice was arrested once on ᴀssault (charge was dropped) and once for his role in a high-speed car crash that caused damage to five vehicles.
