Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark revealed who her favorite NFL player was – right in front of his brother.
Clark, who grew up in the Midwest and went to college at the University of Iowa, chose a fellow Indianapolis sporting legend as the player she liked the most as a youngster.
She recently made an appearance on The Eli Manning Show and during a segment where she played mini golf with the New York Giants legend, Clark revealed her pick.
Clark was asked her favorite player growing up to which she asked ‘current or former’, leading Eli to predict, ‘She’s gonna say Peyton, I know it’ – referring to his brother Peyton Manning.
That’s exactly what Clark said: ‘Former, I’m going Peyton. I actually had a Peyton Manning jersey growing up, not to make you mad Eli.’
Eli jokingly replied, ‘It makes me very mad.’

Caitlin Clark revealed her favorite NFL star growing up on The Eli Manning Show
Much to the host’s dismay, Clark said she was a fan of his brother – Peyton Manning
Clark and Manning starred alongside each other in an ad for an Indianapolis hospital in January
As for her current favorite player, Clark said, ‘I’m going Patrick Mahomes. You know I’m a big Chiefs fan.’
Eli’s co-host suggested that he might rise up Clark’s list if she received something from him.
Clark pounced on the opportunity: ‘Can I get a signed jersey? Then you’ll move into first place.’
Clark and Peyton Manning have already collaborated in the past on a commercial that aired in Indiana.
In the commercial, the camera is pointed up at Manning and Clark in an operating room as a heart monitor goes off behind them.
The two talk about the heart surgeons at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in the city and how good they are.
All the while, Clark is questioning Manning’s skills with a scalpel as they discuss how tough the procedure is.
At the end of the commercial, it’s revealed that Manning was actually operating on a teddy bear the entire time.
