Fans think Patrick Mahomes is making a huge lifestyle change as Chiefs QB looks to avenge Super Bowl loss

First it was the hair, now it might be the ‘Dad Bod’.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has sparked a huge sense of intrigue over his offseason movements after his trainer shared some pictures of him hard at work in the gym.

The 29-year-old led his team to the brink of the three-peat last season before the Chiefs were crushed 40-22 by the Philadelphia Eagles in the Super Bowl in New Orleans.

The scoreline, while emphatic for the Eagles, flatters the Chiefs – they never made the game as close as it sounds.

Three-time Super Bowl winner Mahomes looks like he could be making some serious changes to his physique in the offseason.

The new images of the quarterback working out show him looking lean and building his strength in the offseason, prompting fans to speculate as to what type of quarterback Mahomes is going to be in 2025.

‘Lost the Super Bowl in the worst way and immediately lost 100 pounds,’ one fan wrote around the picture, adding as a hashtag: ‘We are so back’.

Another fan wrote: ‘Might be the best shape he’s ever been in.’

And a separate comment said: ‘Buddy bout to never be humiliated in a big game again.’

Mahomes has been silent since that Super Bowl loss. Speaking to reporters after the game, he said it was ‘the worst feeling the world.

‘There’s no way around it. Anytime you lose a Super Bowl, it’s the worst thing in the world, it will stick with you the rest of your career.

‘It’s going to hurt for a while, but how can you respond from it? They played great from start to finish.

‘I didn’t play to my standard and I have to be better next time.’

Mahomes has been boosted by the news that тιԍнт end Travis Kelce is not retiring and will return for at least one more year with the Chiefs.

One teammate has gone through the exit door, however, in offensive lineman Joe Thuney.

He was traded to the Chicago Bears this week in exchange for a 2026 fourth-round pick.
