The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is the final part of the story of Bilbo Baggins and the adventure of the group of dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield.

The film begins with Smaug’s attack on Lake-town, where the inhabitants must fight to survive in the face of the dragon’s fury. After Smaug is defeated by Bard the Bowman, Thorin returns to Erebor, where the treasure of his ancestors attracts the attention of several parties, including Thranduil, the king of the elves, and the inhabitants of Lake-town.
