Kelly Stafford took to Instagram on Saturday in response to Friday’s news that her husband, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, is staying in Los Angeles on a restructured deal after brief flirtations with the Giants and Raiders.
“No place like home. @rams,” Kelly captioned a pH๏τo on Instagram of her husband sticking his tongue out in celebration during a Rams game.
The 37-year-old Stafford has been at the center of trade rumors following the Rams’ divisional round playoff ouster to the eventual Super Bowl champion Eagles in January.
He was originally dealt to the Rams in January 2021 by the Lions, who received quarterback Jared Goff in return, in what were franchise-altering moves for both teams.
Stafford won his first Super Bowl with the Rams in February 2022 and has been to the playoffs in three of the past four seasons.
In the wake of the Rams’ playoff exit, the team granted Stafford permission to speak to other clubs, with the former first-round pick seeking a new deal in the $50 million per-season ballpark, according to recent reports.

The Stafford buzz reached a fever pitch this week at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, with the Giants and Raiders emerging as frontrunners for his services.
The Giants, desperately seeking a franchise quarterback, discussed a $90-$100 contract with Stafford, The Post’s Paul Schwartz confirmed Friday.

The first overall pick out of Georgia in 2009, Stafford began his professional career in Detroit, where he and wife Kelly started their family that boasts four daughters: 7-year-old twins Sawyer and Chandler, Hunter, 6, and Tyler, 4.
Kelly, who wed Stafford in 2015, addressed the trade chatter earlier this month on her popular podcast, “The Morning After.”
“I love the city of LA … and I love the life that we have built here,” Kelly said. “With that being said, I love an adventure. I am all for it. Right now, if the Rams decided that they wanted to trade him or Matthew decided he didn’t want to play for the Rams, I am good. Move my family, yeah that might be tough — first month hard — after, it turns out, I like my kids to be resilient. Moving them is not easy … but I have four girls who have four built-in best friends, so it ain’t that difficult.”
Even though the Giants’ pursuit of Stafford fell short, the quarterback does have familiar ties to the franchise as his brother-in-law, Chad Hall, was hired as an ᴀssistant quarterbacks coach earlier in the month.
Stafford led the Rams to an NFC West тιтle in 2024 after throwing for 3,762 yards, 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 16 regular-season games.
