Giants’ miserable season didn’t sour players on Brian Daboll in NFLPA report card

The Giants had a terrible 2024 season but head coach Brian Daboll remains popular with his players.

That was revealed Wednesday when the NFL Players ᴀssociation came out with its annual Team Report Cards.

Daboll received a grade of B-plus in the player survey. The only higher Giants grade in the 10 other categories was an A-minus for the strength coaches.

Last year, Daboll received a grade of A-minus from his players.

Amid a 3-14 season, Daboll was unable to stop the losing — there was a franchise-record 10-game losing streak — but there was never a mutiny in the locker room.

When it came time after the season for co-owner John Mara to justify and explain why he did not fire Daboll, Mara noted the relationship between the head coach and the players.

“I’m at practice all the time, I go to the team meetings, I watch the players and I watch how they react,’’ Mara said. “I still think he’s the right guy to lead us.’’

Mara and co-owner Steve Tisch did not fare as well as Daboll. They received a grade of C-plus in the “ownership’’ category.

The other grades for the Giants:

Treatment of families: C

Food/dining area: B

Nutritionist/dietician: C-plus

Locker room: C-minus
