It should not be a shocker that Kylie Kelce, a former accomplished field hockey player, and her NFL legend husband, Jason Kelce, do not believe in giving each of their kids presents on any child’s birthday. 

Kylie came out in strong opposition of reward each of her children when one of them has a birthday on her most recent podcast. 

The trend has emerged over the years to not have any child feel left out. Yet, it appears, old-school or not, Jason and Kylie like having a special day for each of their kids.

‘I am vehemently against the idea of other kids getting birthday presents on a child’s birthday,’ Kylie said. ‘Our family knows, no one else is receiving a birthday present for Bennett’s birthday. Everyone gets a special day.’ 

‘When your siblings get presents for your birthday, it reduces your birthday. It’s not their birthday. It’s your birthday. I think it teaches them to a degree that just because someone’s getting presents doesn’t mean you get presents. It feels very participation trophy-esque and not happening.’

Kylie is pregnant with the couple’s fourth child, all daughters, which is due in the coming months.

Jason and Kylie are already parents to 5-year-old Wyatt, Ellie, 3, and 2-year-old Bennett. 

That is far from the only parenting H๏τ take Kylie has, including how she throws birthday parties for her younger kids. 

‘I am not a big fan of big birthdays for babies,” Kylie added. ‘I feel like it’s just making more work for ourselves. I would much rather get a cake and give them a piece and then just let them go in on it, which is exactly what we’ve done.’

‘For the past couple birthdays, [we’ve] either decorated a cake to the specifications of the birthday girl or we have ordered a cake to make it special. We will scroll Pinterest and Google search to see some birthday cakes for kids’ birthdays, and then we order it.

‘I think it’s very special for them to get to show all of the people who come to celebrate their birthday that they got to pick their cake and how excited they are for it.’

When exactly Kylie is due is unclear. It appears the pregnancy was timed however to have the fourth baby while Jason is at home more and not traveling with his responsibilities as an ESPN analyst.
