Tom Brady’s response to bombshell retirement request from Las Vegas Raiders owner revealed

Tom Brady's response to bombshell retirement request from Las Vegas Raiders owner revealed

Tom Brady was reportedly shocked during a recent behind-closed-doors meeting with Las Vegas Raiders’ leadership when team owner Mark Davis floated the idea of the now-Fox commentator coming out of retirement for a second time.

The 47-year-old Brady was confused whether Davis was ‘serious or just messing’ with his now-colleague. What is clear is that the Raiders are looking for their quarterback of the future.

Brady did ‘laugh off’ Davis’ ᴀssertion and stated his desire to stay off the field for Las Vegas and build success from the front office for the team, per The Mirror.

In 2023, Brady retired for 40 days from the NFL, a professional U-turn that saw him return for a third season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before ultimately retiring, which the longtime Patriots says is ‘for good’.

That has not stopped Brady from teasing a gridiron return on social media and fans asking for it when their signal caller goes down with an injury.

Brady going from the owner’s circle to the huddle would be an unprecedented move in the NFL, and as he’s closer to 55 than 40, it’s nearly impossible.

Brady has been involved in several key business decisions for the team including the recent hire of Pete Carroll as head coach.

After a dismal 4-13 season in 2024, Brady and the Raiders are looking for a long-term answer at quarterback after Aidan O’Connell failed to lead the team to Sin City success.

The team has been linked with both top quarterbacks in April’s NFL Draft, Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders, but would likely need to trade up from pick No 6 to land either one.

Las Vegas could bide its time and take a signal caller at sixth overall, such as Jalen Milroe, or look to the open market, with Matthew Stafford and Justin Fields among the names available.

Brady won’t be the one to fill his own need however. He’ll stay teasing us all on social media instead of getting back on the field.
