A routine morning at a Brooklyn laundromat turned into tragedy when a husband and father was fatally sH๏τ while spending time with his wife.
Khilifah Pierre and her husband, Kevon Lee, were folding laundry together inside a laundromat on Utica Avenue in Flatlands when a masked gunman entered and opened fire, according to police and witness accounts.
Pierre later recalled that the couple had simply been talking and enjoying an ordinary moment together when the attack occurred.

“We were just doing laundry,” she said. “Everything happened so fast.”

Authorities say Lee was struck multiple times before the gunman fled the scene. Witnesses described the shooting as swift and unexpected, with little or no interaction between the suspect and the victim beforehand.
Emergency responders rushed Lee to the hospital, but despite lifesaving efforts, he later died from his injuries.

Pierre, who remained by his side in the aftermath, desperately attempted to help him before paramedics arrived.
