Deebo Samuel’s days in the Bay Area appear to be numbered.
The star wide receiver reportedly requested a trade at the end of the season, and the team has granted him and his agent permission to seek one.
Despite being in trade rumors for several offseasons in a row now, DraftKings Sportsbook oddsmakers still see Samuel in red and gold in 2025 as the most likely outcome.
The 49ers (+250) are heavy favorites to have Samuel on their roster come Week 1.
Here’s a look at the other teams that are expected to be in the mix for Samuel’s services.
Team | Odds |
---|---|
49ers | +250 |
Steelers | +550 |
Broncos | +650 |
Panthers | +650 |
Commanders | +850 |
Patriots | 10/1 |
Chiefs | 12/1 |
Bills | 12/1 |
Chargers | 14/1 |

If Samuel is dealt, the Steelers (+550), ever in the market for more offensive weapons, are the top destination for the former Pro Bowler.
Pittsburgh is also the clear favorite to land Aaron Rodgers after news dropped that he was heading out of New York.
The Broncos and Panthers, who both feature young quarterbacks that could use a dynamic player-maker like Samuel, are tied as the third-favorites to land the 29-year-old.

San Francisco disappointed this season, finishing in last place in the NFC West with a 6-11 record.
Samuel’s role in the 49ers offense has taken a step back since his 2021 Pro Bowl campaign, when he had 1,770 total yards and 14 combined touchdowns.
