The wistful message Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce shared at end of Super Bowl 2025

Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce showed their “brotherhood” during Sunday’s Super Bowl loss.

The NFL’s cameras caught the two sharing a heartfelt moment as the two embraced before the end of the disappointing loss.

“Love you, brother,” Mahomes said to Kelce as the two dapped each other up.

“Forever dawg you know that,” No. 87 said back. “I love you man. I owe you a lot for what you’ve done.”

The video of the heartwarming moment comes amid speculation about Kelce’s future in the NFL.

Kelce, 35, has not indicated what he’s planning on doing for next season, which would be his 13th in the NFL.

It had been a major topic of conversation after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl loss with everyone weighing in, but Kelce said during this week’s “New Heights” episode that he was “just kicking everything down the road.”

“I am kicking every can I can down the road,” Kelce said. “I am not making any crazy decisions, but right now the biggest thing is just being there for my teammates and being there for my coaches understanding there’s a lot that goes into this thing. I’ve been fortunate over the past five, six years, I’ve played more football than anybody.

“The fact that we keep going to these AFC Championships and Super Bowls, that means I’m playing an extra three games more than everybody else in the entire league. That’s a lot of wear and tear on your body.”

Kelce is believed to have another month to decide on what his future will be, according to a report by The Athletic.

The Chiefs are said to be giving him until around March 14 to decide if he’s going to play next season.
