Jason Kelce reveals best moment of his Super Bowl trip to New Orleans

Jason Kelce detailed his trip to a United States Naval base during Super Bowl week in New Orleans, which the Philadelphia Eagles’ legend called ‘absolutely insane’ multiple times.

Jason revealed the best moment of his trip to Louisiana on Wednesday’s episode of ‘New Heights’, with both Kelce brothers back in their respective homes after an eventful week.

For Travis, he lost his second Super Bowl after the Eagles dominated the Chiefs 40-22 on Sunday night, as retirement talk will run rampant. Jason was in attendance working for ESPN and as a family member of a player.

Travis also had to mostly stay under the Chiefs’ thumb during the week leading up to the championship game, save a glamorous dinner with girlfriend Taylor Swift.

Jason clearly made his younger brother jealous with getting to see more of New Orleans than the Caesars Superdome and a H๏τel, with the former center giving credit to a Naval officer named Michael ‘Cherry’ Koch.

‘So I went to a US Naval Air base down there. I met this guy, he’s from Philadelphia at Weaver’s Orchard, we were picking apples with the girls one offseason and he’s like “Hey if you’re ever in New Orleans, you should stop by the military base. If you guys want to do the podcast there, do whatever, we’d love to have you,”‘ Jason said.

‘And dude, he invited me down. I got to see like a practice routine with a bunch of jets that went off, they were doing like tactical formations and stuff. Dude it was insane, it was absolutely insane. I got in a flight simulator.’

‘How’d you do?’ Travis asked.

‘I mean, I was coming right off Bourbon Street, so not great. It was a very wobbly flight with a joystick,’ Jason responded laughing. ‘Very disorienting too. He did not let me land it.’

The brothers then lamented about how the city of New Orleans has not been great to them on the gridiron.

Jason lost a playoff game there in 2019, while Travis, in addition to losing Sunday’s Super Bowl, also was suspended for the biggest game of his college career inside the Caesars Superdome.

Yet, both Kelce’s said they had fun in New Orleans and wanted to return to the city when football is not the main thing on their agenda.
