Eagle-eyed NFL fans spot awful Travis Kelce whiff moments before Josh Sweat sacked Patrick Mahomes

While nothing was going right for the Chiefs on Sunday night against the Eagles, one play in particular found by Eagle-eyed NFL fans spotted Travis Kelce whiffing on a Josh Sweat sack.

During the second quarter of the Super Bowl 2025 romp, Kelce was in pᴀss protection, tasked with stopping Sweat from coming off the edge and pressuring Patrick Mahomes.

As the ball gets hiked, Sweat gets a great jump and Kelce makes minimal contact with the defensive end, who quickly surrounds Mahomes and brings him to the ground.

Before the Super Bowl 2025 MVP award was given to Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, Sweat was receiving praise online to win the honor for his defensive showing.

Kelce had a mediocre game offensively, catching four pᴀsses for 39 yards, with his first reception of the game coming in the second quarter.

Kelce has been at the forefront of the NFL for the last two seasons thanks to his romance with Taylor Swift, who was inside the Caesars Superdome for her only Chiefs game of the season not in Missouri.

Much speculation has taken place as to whether Kelce’s second Super Bowl loss will be the final game of his career.

It would be the second straight season that a Kelce brother would be hanging up the shoulder pads after a playoff loss.

Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce played his last NFL game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last January in the Wild Card round before announcing his retirement two months later.

Travis Kelce, 35, has yet to make any indication of what his future may be, with his profile off the field continuing to grow by dating a 14-time Grammy Award winner.

Sweat however is entering free agency after playing on a one-year, $10million contract with the Eagles.

Kelce got beat by Sweat on one sack of Mahomes, and it is unclear whether they will ever play against each other again.
