One of the more outspoken supporters of Kansas City Chiefs тιԍнт end Travis Kelce has now seemingly turned the tables after his poor performance in Super Bowl LIX.
With plenty of uncertainty about his future at the moment, eyes are on Kelce’s next move following an embarrᴀssing 40-22 defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Depending on who you ask, when Kelce’s career end will arrive remains unclear. But at least one ESPN analyst believes it might be time for him to move on.
Appearing on the network, former NFL player Booger McFarland ripped into Kelce and said that the тιԍнт end looked like a shell of himself.
‘I called Travis Kelce the best тιԍнт end in football for a long time,’ McFarland said of the 35-year-old.
‘He’s no longer that. He played the worst game I’ve ever seen him play tonight. If you go back and watch the tape, Travis Kelce was a non-factor. Father time is undefeated, Boom [referring to co-host Chris Berman].’

Kelce dropped two pᴀsses and only tallied 39 yards on a disappointing evening for him
Kelce had an underwhelming four catches for 39 yards – with two dropped pᴀsses adding to his humiliation.
Perhaps the blame doesn’t rest solely on the shoulders of Kelce. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes was put in a tough position most of the night as the Eagles pᴀss rush continually overwhelmed him.
That led to multiple mistakes – including two first-half interceptions – and six sacks on the night.
McFarland had long been an ardent supporter of Kelce, going so far as to call him the best тιԍнт end in football back in October of 2018 – despite the fact that New England Patriots star Rob Gronkowski was still in the league.
After the game had concluded, Kelce left the Caesars Superdome early to catch up with pop superstar girlfriend Taylor Swift in their suite.
He answered a number of questions from reporters before leaving. Now, the question becomes if this is the last time that Kelce will be in an NFL locker room as a player.
After an unproductive regular season, Kelce was mostly a non-factor in these playoffs – barring one strong game in the divisional round against the Houston Texans.
His contract has him signed through the spring of 2027.
