The secret behind Patrick Mahomes’ disastrous Super Bowl performance revealed

The secret behind Patrick Mahomes' disastrous Super Bowl performance revealed

Patrick Mahomes’ terrible Super Bowl 2025 performance may finally have an explanation – as one Eagles fan in attendance inside the Caesars Superdome was poking a No 15 Chiefs voodoo doll.

The fan in Eagles’ green can been seen sticking the Mahomes doll with a pin several times while the New Orleans venue is loudly cheering around her.

Voodoo is most prevalent in the United States in the south, with New Orleans being viewed as its American epicenter.

Mahomes finished the Super Bowl 21-of-32 pᴀssing for 257 yards and three touchdowns. Not a horrible stat line, until you give it context.

Mahomes threw two interceptions, both deep in Chiefs territory and one that was returned for a touchdown by Cooper DeJean.

The Chiefs’ leader finished the game with a quarterback rating of 11.4, the second-lowest of his entire career.

Mahomes took responsibility for the loss after the game, knowing his two costly first-half throws sapped any momentum the Chiefs had.

The Eagles won the Super Bowl 40-22 in a game where Mahomes threw his first touchdown pᴀss with the Chiefs down 34 points.

Mahomes’ performance in the game was so abnormal for a quarterback that has routinely found ways to shock NFL fans with how he’s playing chess compared to everyone else’s checkers on the field.

In both of Mahomes’ Super Bowl losses, the Chiefs stability on the offensive line has been a major talking point.

On Sunday night, it was Joe Thuney that came under fire, as he moved to left teckle for the championship and was shredded by the Eagles’ defensive line.

It has not been confirmed whether the woman supporting Philadelphia had other voodoo dolls made for other Chiefs players.
