With the expected attendance of President Donald Trump at Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans – a city which recently experienced a terrorist attack – extra measures are being undertaken to ensure the safety of attendees and players.
PH๏τos taken by DailyMail.com reporters show that snipers are on the roofs of nearby buildings watching over crowds as people file into the Superdome.
In particular, the snipers in the pH๏τos below were seen on top of an Entergy building located on Poydras Street directly across from the stadium.
Reporters also say that the security perimeter starts a few hundred yards away from the stadium and that Secret Service personnel are operating the security scanners to get into the building.
Additionally, bomb-sniffing dogs are scouring the area as part of a wider effort that has been documented on social media by the Department of Homeland Security in the run-up to the Big Game.
A tweet from Homeland Security secretary Kristi Noem earlier this week showed pictures of her inspecting the Superdome with local officials.

These are part of heightened security measures ahead of the arrival of thousands of guests
‘DHS has protected the NFL Super Bowl for 20+ years,’ the tweet from Noem read. ‘We’re working around the clock to ensure a safe and secure game day at the Superdome and in the city of New Orleans.’
These efforts come just over a month after the city was rocked by a terrorist attack that resulted in the deaths of 14 people and 57 injuries.
That attack took place on Bourbon Street in the early morning hours of New Year’s Day and was carried out by an Islamic extremist Shamsud-Din Bahar Jabbar.
An ISIS flag was found on the back of the truck that he used to plow into the crowd of people that were in the streets celebrating the new year.
As a result of the attack, that day’s Sugar Bowl – a College Football Playoff game – was postponed by one day in order to do further security checks.
Now, after that attack, and with the arrival of the President, further measures are being taken to ensure security.
In addition to the aforementioned snipers and police dogs, drones and other armed guards are parts of the security package. There is also a giant X-ray machine at the Superdome for vehicles to drive through in order to be scanned for explosives.
‘The biggest show on earth is going to go off without a hitch,’ Gov. Jeff Landry said at a briefing.

Alabama Rep. Dale Strong, the chair of the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Emergency Management and Technology, led a congressional delegation on a security tour.
‘To be honest with you, this is very similar to what we had in Washington, DC, just a matter of 10 days or two weeks ago,’ Dale said, referring to the inauguration.
He particularly noted the number of police canines on duty – ‘every dog you could imagine,’ he said.
Noem said there are ‘no specific credible threats’ to the game.
New Orleans has hosted 10 Super Bowls in previous years but this year will be different.
Security measures will include aerial drones surveillance around the Superdome, the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, and Bourbon Street.
Thousands of local police and national guard troops will be in the streets.
The Coast Guard will be on the Mississippi River. Armed federal air marshals will be stationed around the city’s transportation hubs. Armored tactical vehicles known as BearCats will also be deployed, with as many as 16 being used to block street access to vehicles.

More than 100 bomb-sniffing dogs will be on duty.
In addition to the president, the Super Bowl is expected to draw several A-list celebrities, including Timothée Chalamet, Paul Rudd (a Chiefs fan), Bradley Cooper (an Eagles fan), and Jason Sudeikis ( a Chiefs fan).
Of course, the biggest celebrity at the game will by pop superstar Taylor Swift – who will be at the Big Game for the second year in a row to cheer on her boyfriend, Chiefs тιԍнт end Travis Kelce.
More than 125,000 visitors are expected to be in the city to watch the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles at the Caesars Superdome in Super Bowl LIX.
