Before the big game gets underway, acclaimed musical artist Jon Batiste will perform the American national anthem to 83,000 fans at the Super Bowl on Sunday night.
Batiste, a Louisiana native, has received the honor of singing the Star Spangled Banner at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, where the Kansas City Chiefs are bidding to pull off a famous three-peat against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Rap superstar Kendrick Lamar will be headlining the much-anticipated halftime show this year, with R&B singer and songwriter SZA also set to feature as a special guest.
Yet ahead of kickoff in the Big Easy, all eyes will be on Batiste as he belts out the national anthem to thousands in attendance and millions across the globe.

Who is Jon Batiste?
Jon Batiste is a five-time Grammy Award-winning and Academy Award-winning artist born in Metairie, Louisiana on November 11, 1986.
He grew up seven miles east in Kenner and is a member of the legendary Batiste family, which is made up of around 25 musicians including Jon.
The 38-year-old has been married to journalist, musician and best-selling author Suleika Jaouad since February 2022.

What is he most famous for?
Batiste has worked with a number of star names in the past, including Stevie Wonder, Prince, Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz, Willie Nelson, ASAP Rocky, Ed Sheeran and Lana Del Rey.
The American singer, songwriter and composer recently released the album ‘Beethoven Blues’ – his own reinvention of Beethoven’s iconic works – which debuted as the No. 1 classical album in the charts right now.
He also composed the innovative score for the critically-acclaimed film Saturday Night, as well as for his documentary American Symphony, which was recently nominated for two Grammys.
As well as that, Batiste appeared nightly with his band, Stay Human, as bandleader on the The Late Show with Stephen Colbert from 2015-22.

What has he said about performing at the Super Bowl?
Batiste recently told Entertainment Tonight that he wants his performance at the Super Bowl to live long in the memory.
‘I’m excited to figure out an arrangement that lasts the test of time and I look forward to sharing it,’ he insisted.
‘The week before is when I’ll just finally start to finalize it, and then it’s gonna fly.’
Who else is performing?
Kendrick Lamar is set to headline the halftime show alongside special guest SZA.
The rapper will also be expected to bring out some more surprise faces, but R&B singer SZA is the only one confirmed so far.
American singer Ledisi will be performing ‘Life Every Voice & Sing’, better known as the black national anthem.
The black national anthem has been the subject of fierce controversy in recent weeks, with fans calling for a Super Bowl boycott amid outrage over the song.
