Super Bowl ticket prices take sudden dip 48 hours before Chiefs-Eagles showdown in New Orleans

With Super Bowl LIX 48 hours away, ticket prices have shockingly decreased across multiple ticketing platforms.

The showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans is one of the most anticipated games as Patrick Mahomes and Co. look to complete the first three-peat in NFL history.

On the other hand, Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley look to lead the birds in spoiling the party for the defending champions.

Less than a month ago, the cheapest ticket to Sunday’s game was $4,352. But as of Friday, February 7, the lowest price tag to get into the Caesars Superdome is around $2,528 on Vivid Seats.

Ticket Master’s price for a 600-level ticket follows at $2,900. Other prices include $3,854 on SeatGeek, $3,607 on StubHub and $3,582 on Gametime.

The cheapest 100-level seat can be found on Vivid Seats at $3,636. On the other end of the spectrum, SeatGeek has them priced at $5,548.

It is also worth noting that most websites do not show their processing and additional fees until checkout.

The decrease is already $3,000 less than last season’s finale in Las Vegas, which cost around $5,500 to get in.

Last year’s Super Bowl between the Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers being held in Sin City may have also encouraged fans to spend more money that weekend.

Although New Orleans is a party city, fans grew cautious after the terror attack that haunted Bourbon Street before the Sugar Bowl on New Year’s Day.

The incident left over a dozen killed and many more injured. Thankfully, New Orleans has pledged stronger security for the Super Bowl, which should invite fans to the Big Easy for the game.
